We just lost a comedy legend in our area. He will be missed.
Two nights ago, we lost a well known comedian, TV host, and radio personality, Dave Anderson to pancreatic cancer. I had the pleasure of being a guest several times on AMNW, which Dave co-hosted with Helen Raptis. They were always so gracious when I came on the show, and doing a segment with Dave was sure to be unpredictable and filled with laughter.
Thanks Dave.
When I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Dave reached out to me. It meant so much. He was an understanding ear, and so positive in light of his (and my) diagnosis. He encouraged me to seek out information from the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, which has been a huge help to me and many others. I will forever be grateful for his reaching out, and his advice.
The world lost a bright light this week. Below is a touching video put together by the station he worked for. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The Oregonian also ran this article about Dave.

I saw this yesterday, and thought of you and your segment of making Masubi (I think?). He was such a bright light! He was always so joyful.
I use to watch them when I lived in Oregon, always could count on smiling and or laughing with them. He truly will be missed. RIP Dave Anderson
