I don’t know if you are aware of this or not… but I am in love with Evernote. Ok, perhaps you did know that. Seriously, I talk about it a lot.

Yours truly is the Evernote Organization Ambassador. This will be my second year in said position… somehow they want me to stick around. I’m feelin’ the love baby.

This week, I had the distinguised pleasure (and schoolgirl giddy-ness) to visit Evernote’s headquarters, or what we will refer to as “The Mothership”. To say it was awesome would be an understatement. I want to move there. Seriously. Do you think they’d notice if I moved in here?

I could use this pillow and be quite comfortable…

Ok, ok, enough joking around. This is serious business, and the best part about this trip? Hanging out with the other Evernote Ambassadors. These people are crazy power users, all with their own are of expertise – and boy do they know their shizz. These people I am somehow grouped with are some of the smartest, most passionate, successful and fun people ever. What do we have in common? We all LOVE Evernote. Like a lot. That’s why we’re Ambassadors.

First up, dinner on Thursday night, so we loaded up on the “party bus”…

…and had some seriously awesome food and drinks at Martin’s West. They have some tasty, tasty food my friends. I was so jazzed to finally try bone marrow. Um, yeah, that’s going on the “I’m going to order that next time” list in Evernote. Hooked.

There were many, many other dishes worth mentioning, but I’ll leave it to my mediocre photo skills to show you what we had…

That’s a charcuterie board dahlings, including some duck, rabbit and lamb. Oh sweet Mother Mary, it was tasty. It was all I could do not to take it in a dark corner alone. I showed restraint though people, cuz I’m a lady.

This dessert was a sticky toffee cakey thing. Oh lawd it was good.

After a very nice dinner, we headed back to our hotel.

The next morning, we were up at a decent hour (not o’dark thirty… thank you SO MUCH for such gracious scheduling). Josh and I got a lil’ lost on the way, which was actually kinda fun, as I got to see a bit of Silicon Valley. And no, I did not see Mark Zuckerberg walking his dog. No hoodie siting for me. But, I did get to spend some time with my pal, Josh. That boy is awesome sauce, and it had been way too long since we had hung out.

When we first arrived in the morning, we had a group photo shoot, and then proceeded to the room with presents. PRESENTS! I felt a little like we were on Oprah’s Favorite Things. Only it was Evernote Ambassador’s Favorite things. Squeeeee!!!

How cute is that? Yes, that quiche over there was yummy…

Filled with goodies and under all that? A Livescribe pen. *faints*

Then came this later in the day..

Oh how I LOVE Moleskine. Now this little hard cover of heaven works with Evernote. Um, does it get much better than that?? No. No it does not.

It’s amazing that the program went from just eight of us to twenty now! Crazy but true. Again, I’m honored to be in such an outstanding group of people.

We spend a lot of the day talking about what’s going on with Evernote, meeting the Product Managers, and other various important people in the company, including Phil. What a great guy!

Later in the day, we were taken on a grand tour of the facility… whiteboard walls, open spaces and a generally very cool vibe around the entire building. I can see how such a vibrant environment makes for such an outstanding, useful and thoughtful product. Inspiring for sure.

And then we got to the IT vending machine. What?! I think this was one of the most photographed things in the building.

I need one of these in my office…

Clearly we will not starve to death… or dehydrate…or decaffeinate…

But we might get locked out, as Chad, the Fitness Ambassador found out. I think someone let him in, after a fair amount of giggling and photo taking…

After a very fun day of hanging out the fellow Ambassadors, we wrapped up the day back in the lunch room with s’mores and “Beer Thirty”. Seriously, can I stay?

It was a fantastic, informative and very exciting 36 hour trip for me. I’m grateful to the entire Evernote team: Ron Toledo, Kasey Hickey, Stefanie Fazzio, Ronda Scott, Christine Foote, Mie Yaginuma, Akiko, Andrew, Phil, Pierre and many others I met at Evernote. I’m truly thankful for their awesome support and outstanding product that is the organization cornerstone of my life and business. I look forward to all the exciting things yet to come. If this event was any indication, it’s going to be epic.
